Interim Teacher of Deaf REQUIRED FOR SEPTEMBER 2018.  Please note we will be advertising this role as a permanent position for January 2019.  The successful applicant for the interim Teacher of the Deaf position will be welcome to apply for the permanent position.

We are seeking a highly motivated and committed teacher of deaf children to work within our Resource Unit for deaf/hearing impaired students at Rushy Meadow Primary Academy. The successful candidate would join a team of specialist staff who support pupils’ needs in the Resource Unit and the mainstream classes.

Our mission at Rushy Meadow Primary Academy is to provide an environment where everyone feels part of a safe, secure, happy community.  Children’s curiosity and creativity is nurtured through an inspiring, broad and engaging curriculum.  Every day children are challenged and encouraged to be independent learners, to be resilient and aspirational, so that they all reach their full potential.

Our vision is to create a school where our pupils flourish and are proud of their achievements.  We aim to instil in them a passion for learning that will empower them to become successful and to make positive contributions to the local community and beyond.
Our motto, pupils, families, community: learning and working together embodies everything that we strive to achieve.  The positive support of our parents and the wider community is very important to us all and we maintain an open and welcoming environment where we can work in partnership for the benefit of our pupils.
